IMPORTANT NOTICES WHEN YOU ARE FILING A NEW CASE: You must send a copy of the notice of appeal or other appeal document to the office of the clerk of the court or agency from which the appeal or transfer is taken. See Supreme Court Rules 5(1) and 26(2). This e-filing system will not send the copy for you. The following explanation relates to case category selection when you are filing a new case: The case category ADMINISTRATIVE refers only to New Hampshire Bar admission and supervision cases. APPEAL BY PERMISSION refers to discretionary appeals, including Supreme Court Rule 7 discretionary appeals (as determined by Supreme Court Rule 3) and appeals pursuant to Supreme Court Rules 8, 9, and 10, as well as some Supreme Court Rule 11 petitions. APPEAL BY RIGHT refers to Supreme Court Rule 7 mandatory appeals (as defined by Supreme Court Rule 3). JUDICIAL DISCIPLINE refers to proceedings from the Judicial Conduct Committee. LAWYER DISCIPLINE refers to proceedings from, or referred to the court by, the Professional Conduct Committee or Attorney Discipline Office. ORIGINAL PROCEEDINGS refer to matters which are not appeals, but which are directed to the supreme court in the first instance.
